A growing commercial roofing contractor is seeking a dependable and hardworking Commercial Roofing Service Technician / Helper to join its service team in the Houston area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in commercial roofing while working alongside experienced roofing professionals.
In this role, you will assist with roof repairs, leak investigations, maintenance projects, and service work on a variety of commercial roofing systems. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn and grow within the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with commercial roof repairs, maintenance, and leak investigations
- Remove and install roofing materials including insulation, membranes, flashings, and metal components
- Perform work according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices
- Maintain professional interactions with customers and property managers
- Keep company vehicles, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and job-ready
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements
- Travel to job sites throughout the Houston metropolitan area
- Support lead technicians with daily service and repair activities
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of roofing, construction, or related field experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting, climbing ladders, and performing demanding tasks
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
