We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Superintendent to join our team 

Job Responsibilities:

 • Visit and familiarize with contractor and site; assess project specifics; attend mandatory preconstruction meeting with Project Manager and roof manufacturer; coordinate personnel access and stock itinerary.

 • Visit jobsites as directed to record information needed by the estimating department.

 • Work together with Project Management to schedule material and labor with other departments such as the Sheet Metal work and service as needed.

 • Maintain regular communication with the Project Managers to ensure the jobs run on schedule and under budget, and all information and materials needed by the Foremen are provided in a timely manner.

 • Review jobs with Project Manager and Project Foreman - review scope of work, submittals, schedule and contract; establish lines of communication and areas of responsibilities with GC/Owner regarding change orders, billings, etc.

 • Interface with Warehouse - Create pre-job equipment list including safety, specialty equipment and rentals. Schedule trucks, equipment deliveries and returns. Liaison between field and shop regarding materials needed daily.

 • Field Support for Roofing Crews - Review scope of work with Foreman/Project Manager warehouse and field as required. Provide field oversight and support to project foremen and roofing crews. Track labor expended to Roofing produced and production per man per day. Coordinate receipt of daily job reports. Investigate any incidents (OSHA, thefts, etc.), document and submit to Safety Director immediately.

 • Provide assessment with all related backups. Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors. Coordinate final closure of project. Pre-inspection punch list to be done by Superintendent with Foreman prior to inspection. Manufacturer's final inspection to be done by Superintendent in conjunction with punch-list crew. Meeting with GC/Owner to finalize outstanding issues. Issuance of warranty. Strive for goal of zero punch-list items prior to crew leaving the job site. Daily contact with customers to review job progress and issues.

 • Conduct daily visits to all active jobsites to ensure progress with established production goals and obtain information needed by Project Management.

 • Document job progress including photos to be downloaded to project folder.

 • Administrative - Evaluation of assigned foremen. Evaluate projects which are running over budget and identify factors (bad estimate, added enhancements, unforeseen conditions, etc.); critique for options of cost control. Exposure assessment to be done early on, in writing, describing deficiencies/shortfalls of both labor and materials.

 • Complete other tasks/duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

 • At least 10 years of commercial roofing experience, including experience as a Roofing Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Manager.

 • High school diploma or equivalent required.

 • OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 certification preferred.

 • Strong working knowledge of commercial roofing systems, installation practices, materials, codes, regulations, and manufacturer requirements.

 • Demonstrated ability to lead field teams, manage multiple active projects, and prioritize work in a changing environment.

 • Ability to read and understand project drawings, specifications, scopes of work, submittals, schedules, and contracts.

 • Working knowledge of project cost control, labor productivity, material coordination, quality control, and project closeout.

 • Strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.

 • Basic mathematical and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and the ability to use mobile project-management tools.

 • Valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record are required.

 • Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screening.

 • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

 • Ability to work in both office and active construction jobsite environments, including roofing and exterior building conditions.

 • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, climb ladders, and navigate uneven or elevated work areas.

 • Ability to access roofs and elevated work areas when safe and properly protected.

 • Ability to work around typical construction site conditions, including noise, dust, equipment, weather, and varying temperatures.

 • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, gloves, safety-toed boots, and fall protection when required.

 • Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.

 • Ability to use a computer, phone, tablet, and standard office equipment.

Salary: The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $150,000 annually.  Pay is to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and location where the job is performed. Haselden does not discriminate based upon any protected category with respect to the payment of wages.
