    Job Description

    Role Overview

    Step onto an active commercial jobsite where your craft sets the pace. As a Commercial Sheet Metal Duct Installer, you’ll begin your day reviewing coordinated drawings, marking out runs, and confirming hanger locations. From there, you’ll fabricate sections, set hangers, and fit transitions, dampers, and fittings so the air distribution system comes together cleanly and safely. You’ll coordinate with other trades to stay on schedule, uphold quality standards, and keep the site compliant with all safety rules.

    What You’ll Do

    • Lay out, assemble, and install commercial HVAC duct systems with precision and efficiency.
    • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and duct layouts to plan routes and verify dimensions.
    • Install sheet metal duct, transitions, fittings, dampers, and associated HVAC components.
    • Measure, cut, and fit duct sections to spec; secure assemblies using approved methods.
    • Set duct supports, hangers, and hardware to meet project and code requirements.
    • Work closely with other trades to maintain progress and proper system integration.
    • Adhere to all company and jobsite safety procedures at all times.

    What You Bring

    • Demonstrated experience installing commercial HVAC ductwork.
    • Ability to read and apply blueprints and installation specifications.
    • Proficient with the hand and power tools used in duct fabrication and installation.
    • Bring your own required hand tools and power tools to the job.
    • Provide full personal protective equipment (PPE): hard hat, safety glasses, work gloves, high-visibility vest, and work boots as required by the jobsite.
    • Comfort working at heights, moving materials, and performing physically demanding tasks.
    • Reliable transportation and a consistent, professional work ethic.

    All tools and PPE are required. Candidates must arrive prepared with the necessary tools and safety equipment to perform the job, including hard hat, safety glasses, work gloves, high-visibility vest, and work boots.
