Own the Jobsite. Deliver the Build.

We’re partnering with a well-established commercial contractor to hire a seasoned Commercial Site Superintendent in Chicago, IL to lead ground-up and renovation projects across mixed-use, industrial, retail, and multi-unit developments.

A day on your site

You start with a safety walk and a quick huddle with subs. Permits and inspections are confirmed, deliveries sequenced, and today’s work aligned to milestones. By mid-morning, you’re reviewing drawings with the design team to resolve a field conflict. After lunch, you’re updating the schedule, logging daily reports, and checking quality benchmarks. You wrap by confirming tomorrow’s plan—on track, on budget, and built right.

What you’ll lead

  • Champion safety practices and enforce regulatory compliance across the jobsite
  • Interpret drawings, specs, and schedules to align work with key milestones
  • Collaborate with designers, inspectors, and project stakeholders to solve issues quickly
  • Track production, keep detailed site records, and issue regular progress updates
  • Perform quality control checks to uphold workmanship standards
  • Set direction for subcontractors and crews to sustain momentum and morale
  • Drive schedule adherence and budget discipline from kickoff through closeout

What you bring

  • Several years of supervisory experience in commercial construction
  • Deep knowledge of building methods, sequencing, and field operations
  • Comfort navigating permits, local codes, and inspection processes
  • Confident leadership with the ability to coordinate multiple trades simultaneously
  • Clear communicator and practical problem-solver
  • Proficiency with construction management software and digital tools
  • Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA) are a plus
