Installation Supervisor – Commercial Solar

Are you tired of wondering where your next project is going to be?

Do you want to work for one growing company, build a career, and know that when one project ends, you're moving on to the next one with the same team?

Buffalo Solar is a growing commercial solar EPC specializing in commercial rooftop solar and battery storage projects throughout New York. We're looking for an Installation Supervisor with commercial electrical or construction experience who wants steady work, overtime opportunities, benefits, and the chance to grow into greater field leadership responsibility.

This is a hands-on position working alongside our Construction Supervisor to lead the day-to-day field execution of our commercial solar projects. Solar experience is not required. If you understand commercial electrical or construction work, can read plans, and know how to keep a crew and jobsite moving, we can teach you solar.

What You'll Do

• Help lead daily installation activities and subcontractor crews.
• Review project plans and electrical drawings and make sure work is installed correctly.
• Monitor installation quality, productivity, safety, and schedule.
• Identify and help resolve field issues.
• Make sure upcoming projects are prepared before crews arrive onsite.
• Receive, stage, secure, and track project materials, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain organized and safe jobsites.
• Help keep company vehicles, trailers, tools, and field equipment ready for work.
• Support punch-list completion and project closeout.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of commercial electrical, construction, or similar field experience.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and construction plans.
• Working knowledge of electrical construction and the NEC.
• Strong field problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with crews, subcontractors, customers, and project teams.
• Comfortable working on commercial rooftops and active construction sites.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Solar experience is a plus, but not required.

Build a Career, Not Just the Next Project

We're looking for someone who wants more than the next construction job. Buffalo Solar continues to grow its commercial project portfolio, and this position has the opportunity to grow with it.

You'll have the stability of working for one company, exposure to a rapidly growing part of the electrical industry, overtime opportunities, company benefits, and a path toward greater responsibility supervising commercial solar installations.
