Responsibilities
Manage daily field operations for commercial tenant improvement, renovation, and new-construction projects
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and site logistics
Maintain project schedules and proactively address delays or changing field conditions
Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project requirements
Conduct subcontractor meetings and communicate daily priorities
Maintain daily logs, progress photographs, safety documentation, and field reports
Monitor workmanship to ensure projects meet quality standards and contract requirements
Enforce company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized jobsite
Coordinate closely with project managers, clients, architects, inspectors, and subcontractors
Identify potential change orders, scheduling conflicts, and constructability concerns
Manage punch lists, inspections, closeout documentation, and final turnover
Ensure materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors are available when needed
Represent the company professionally with clients, property managers, and project partners
Travel to project locations as required
Required Qualifications
5+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience
Experience managing commercial tenant improvement, renovation, or new-construction projects
Ability to independently manage projects from mobilization through closeout
Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and building systems
Experience coordinating multiple subcontractor trades
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
Working knowledge of jobsite safety requirements and quality-control procedures
Strong scheduling, organization, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Clear and professional communication with clients, project managers, and subcontractors
Comfortable using construction-management software and mobile field-reporting tools
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability and willingness to travel based on project needs
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with restaurant, retail, office, hospitality, or other fast-track commercial TI projects
Experience managing projects in occupied or operational environments
Ground-up or new commercial construction experience
Experience with multi-site renovations or rollout programs
Familiarity with Procore, Raken, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, or similar platforms
OSHA 30 certification
Strong knowledge of Southern California subcontractors, inspectors, and permitting processes
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a dependable, hands-on superintendent who takes ownership of the jobsite and can keep fast-moving commercial projects organized and on schedule. This person should be comfortable making field decisions, holding subcontractors accountable, communicating directly with clients, and managing multiple priorities without constant supervision.
Physical and Scheduling Requirements
Ability to walk active construction sites and navigate ladders, stairs, and uneven surfaces
Ability to lift and carry common jobsite materials and equipment when necessary
Availability for occasional early-morning, evening, or weekend work based on project requirements
Ability to travel to project sites and remain onsite for the duration of assigned projects when required
