Commercial Superintendent

An Iowa general contractor is seeking a mid-level Superintendent to help lead commercial construction projects in the Des Moines/Ames area. This role is suited to a field leader who can coordinate trades, maintain jobsite standards, and keep work progressing safely and efficiently.

What you’ll do

• Coordinate daily field operations, subcontractors, and site logistics

• Monitor project schedule, workmanship, and jobsite safety

• Review plans and specifications and help resolve field issues

• Coordinate inspections, materials, and work sequencing

• Communicate progress and field needs with the project team

• Support project documentation and closeout

What we’re looking for

• Commercial construction field experience

• Experience coordinating subcontractors and daily site activities

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

• A safety-minded approach and interest in continued growth as a Superintendent
