Commercial Tire Warehouseman

Overview

The Commercial Tire Warehouseman is responsible for maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse while supporting the receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of commercial truck, industrial, agricultural, and off-the-road tires and related products. This position supports technicians, sales staff, delivery drivers, and customers by ensuring products are available, properly stored, and accurately accounted for.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.
• Unload truck shipments using forklifts or other equipment.
• Match products to purchase orders and packing slips.
• Label, stock, and organize inventory.
• Maintain accurate inventory using FIFO where applicable.
• Conduct inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Pull and stage orders for service trucks and delivery vehicles.
• Verify paperwork before products leave the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
• Dispose of scrap tires according to company policy.
• Assist customers and employees professionally.
• Communicate shortages and warehouse issues to management.
• Support emergency road service needs.
• Follow OSHA and company safety policies.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely.
• Report unsafe conditions and equipment maintenance issues.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Commercial tire experience is a plus.
• Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of commercial tire sizes and applications.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 75 lbs and occasionally over 100 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and work with hands.
