Founded in 1960, Dot Foods is North America’s largest food industry redistributor and one of the largest private, family-owned businesses in the country with 13 distribution centers in the U.S.; a corporate sales office in St. Louis, Missouri; two locations in Canada; and a joint venture in Mexico. Started by Robert and Dorothy Tracy in the small Midwestern town of Mt. Sterling, Illinois, Dot now delivers to all 50 states and over 50 countries. Job Highlights

• Operate company equipment to transport product safely and efficiently 
• Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements set by the Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), etc. 
• Load and unload dry and temperature-controlled goods 
• Meet company goals, including managing MPG, fuel purchases, idle time, and speed 
• Read and understand load paperwork, product, and packaging descriptions 

Candidate Profile

• Class A CDL and a good motor vehicle report is required 
• Haz-Mat and tanker endorsements are required (can be obtained during training)
• Strong tenure from most recent places of employment
• Must be able to pass a physical ability test 
• Able to be away from home 3-6 days per week
