Commercial Credit Underwriter
Location: Dunwoody or Duluth, GA
We are partnering with a community-focused bank in the Metro Atlanta area seeking a Commercial Credit Underwriter to support a team of commercial lenders in underwriting and managing credit relationships.
This is an excellent opportunity for a credit professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, relationship-driven environment with exposure to a wide range of commercial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow to assess borrower risk
- Underwrite commercial loan requests across C&I, CRE, and SBA
- Prepare clear, concise credit memos and recommendations
- Partner closely with lenders to structure deals appropriately
- Monitor portfolio performance and assist with renewals and modifications
- Ensure adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- 3–8+ years of commercial credit/underwriting experience
- Strong financial analysis and credit structuring skills
- Experience with commercial loan underwriting
- Ability to work cross-functionally with relationship managers
- Community or regional bank experience preferred
