    Your Impact

    • Diagnostics & Repair: Find and fix faults across steering, electrical, cooling, lubrication, braking, drivetrains, suspensions, power steering units, clutches, and transmissions—always aligned with Federal, State/Provincial, and local requirements.
    • Powertrain Projects: Assist with rebuilding engines, transmissions, and differentials as assigned by the manager.
    • PM & Road Tests: Perform test drives during preventive maintenance inspections to validate driver-reported issues, and confirm successful repairs with post-service road tests.
    • Quality Control: Arrange for required inspections and secure approvals for major repairs prior to vehicle release.
    • Documentation: Accurately log time, parts, and work performed using the appropriate forms.
    • Field Support: Handle road calls and conduct on-the-road repairs as needed.
    • Collaboration & Safety: Report additional needed work (including items for higher-qualification technicians) and alert the Lead Technician to any unsafe practices or vehicle abuse.

    Must-Haves

    • 2–4 years of medium/heavy truck fleet mechanic repair experience.
    • Diagnostic, electrical, and AC capabilities are essential.
    • Strong knowledge of major vehicle systems and diesel equipment.
    • Fleet background with diesel and gasoline systems.
    • Recommended minimum hand tools for a Diesel Technician.
    • Good judgment and decisive problem-solving.

    Nice-to-Haves

    • Valid applicable state license; CDL preferred.
    • ASE certification helpful but not required.
    • Experience with Ford commercial vehicles.
