They will be responsible for ensuring trackers are operating at 100% by monitoring for faults and troubleshooting system failures. They will also be responsible for supporting commissioning of new projects – both remotely and on-site. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who has excellent communication and troubleshooting skills and wants to dive into real, everyday solar engineering problems. Your work will directly result in existing systems working more efficiently and producing more energy. We offer a solid base with significant bonus upside.Commissioning Engineer Roles and responsibilities include but will not be limited to:Provide remote support for Commissioning Technicians, SCADA, and O&M teamsUse data from the Genius Tracker system to monitor and remediate faults in the systemHandle incoming RMA requests from customers and work with them to resolve faultsInterface with Genius Tracker system with SSH and TCP/IP python scripts to send commands and get dataNetwork Configuration of tracker devices to project VLANs to integrate with customer SCADA.Tracker Performance VerificationDocumentation of commissioning and site performance effortsTravel to site to train technicians or accelerate timelinesCollaborate with customers and provide feedback and updates on project statusAssist in QA/QC testing of new releases and provide actionable feedbackCommissioning Engineer Skills & Education:Strong Communication skills: Mastery of written and spoken English requiredStrong Troubleshooting skillsStrong ability to instruct people on technical issuesBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similarExperience with programming (Python, C) – automation experience a plusExperience with networks (TCP/IP,SSH,Modbus, 2.4GHz, Zigbee, VLANs, IPv4)Knowledge of solar industry and worksite protocol preferred.2+ years engineering experience preferred.Will prioritize candidates that have background in solar/renewables and SCADA experience.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferredBusiness Office professional attire when in office setting.
