Commissary Kitchen Associate (Food Packing & Porter)About the roleSchedule: Sunday - Thursday // 10am-6pmSifted is looking for a highly motivated team member to join our commissary operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring food is properly packed, organized, labeled, and ready for delivery to our clients each day.This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow in the food service or hospitality industry while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You'll be joining a growing company with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, food safety, and exceptional client experience.What you'll be doingPack and organize prepared food from the commissary for daily deliveryLoad and stage food items inside refrigerated trucks for transportWork inside refrigerated trucks, walk-in coolers, and freezer storage areas for extended periods of timeConduct audits of food production from the kitchen prior to packing, ensuring all products meet quality standards and are properly labeled and datedSupport dietary packout processes by accurately preparing orders that meet specific dietary needs, including allergies and accommodations such as pescatarian, vegan, and low-carbConduct monthly inventory of dietary items in freezer and walk-in freezer storage areasEnsure all food is packed accurately and meets quality, labeling, and dating standardsAssist with maintaining organization of commissary, staging, cooler, freezer, and packout areasSupport light cleaning duties, including dishwashing, trash removal, and general upkeepPerform porter‑style responsibilities to keep kitchen, storage, and packout areas clean and efficientCommunicate with team members and leadership to ensure smooth daily operationsMaintain a positive, team‑focused attitude at all timesExperience in food service, commissary, warehouse, porter, or similar environment preferredComfortable working in cold environments, including refrigerated trucks, walk‑in freezers, and coolersAble to stand for up to 6 hours at a time and lift/move up to 50 lbsStrong attention to detail, especially around food quality, labeling, dating, allergens, and dietary needsOrganized and able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced settingReliable with a strong work ethic and team‑oriented mindsetAbility to follow processes accurately and communicate clearly with the teamAbility to communicate in written and spoken EnglishCommitted to maintaining cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standardsLeads by example in attitude, punctuality, cleaning, and teamworkCompany‑sponsored health insurance plans, including 100% company‑paid HDHP, as well as vision + dental opt‑in401(k) program available after six months of employment80 hours of PTO with each year of employment, 10 company paid holidays, and a paid winter break from Dec 24 - Jan 1Free lunch during meal serviceOpportunities to take on larger roles within our organization + learn with a fast‑growing start‑upJob Type: Full TimeShift: DaysWeekly day range: Sunday - Thursday // 10am-6pmEligibility : This position must maintain a State Food Handlers CardWork environment : This position is based in a commercial kitchenPhysical requirements : This position requires standing for up to 6 hours at a time and moving equipment up to 50 lbs.We are an equal opportunity employer.
