Job Summary:
Our upscale casual seafood restaurant is seeking a skilled Prep Cook to join our team. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing seafood, vegetables, sauces, and other items from scratch. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a professional kitchen, a passion for food, and a strong commitment to quality. Candidate will ensure consistency and quality of all products. This position is available only at our Commissary kitchen located in Sterling, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of sauces, seasonings, desserts, etc. from scratchEnsure all items are prepared according to our recipes and standards of quality
- Keep the kitchen area clean and organized at all timesMonitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalentAt least 2 years of experience working in a professional kitchen
- Strong knowledge of seafood preparation and cooking techniquesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededStrong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
