Commissioning Department Manager

Leading multi-disciplinary team islooking for a Commissioning DepartmentManager for their Grand Rapids team!

Responsibilities:

• Work with project managers to provide resources tosuccessfully execute projects
• Establish work plans/estimates
• Ensure completed work product is consistent withclient requirements and firm’s standards
• Supervise project execution and staff to meetperformance metrics/goals
• Communicate with clients
• Prepare proposals and administer project contracts
• Execute QA/QC process for the Commissioning onprojects
• Maintain backlogs/manpower forecasts to ensureproper staffing levels and department utilization
• Perform staff resource management and annualreviews
• Assist Human Resources on recruitment/training efforts
• Assist with business development
• Participate in trade organizations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineeringpreferred
• 8+ years of Commissioning experience in theBuilding industry
• PE License preferred
• CBCP, CCP, CPMP or CxA Certification
• LEED AP with specialty preferred
• Experience with Commissioning Healthcare, Sports,Commercial, Public Sector, Industrial, Education, and/or Institutional projects
• Strong knowledge of MEP/FP Building systemsdesign/construction processes, building automation systems, and Test andBalance process and procedures
• Knowledge of Revit and energy simulation software
