We're partnering with a nationally recognized engineering consulting firm seeking a Commissioning Engineer / Commissioning Agent II to support the testing, validation, and optimization of critical electrical systems across mission critical, healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory, and industrial facilities.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute pre-functional and functional testing procedures.
  • Perform commissioning and validation of electrical systems.
  • Review construction documents, specifications, equipment submittals, and control sequences.
  • Conduct field inspections and verify installed systems.
  • Observe equipment startup and coordinate with contractors and vendors.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and assist in resolving commissioning issues.
  • Prepare daily field reports and commissioning documentation.
  • Collect and analyze system performance data.
  • Assist with due diligence studies, feasibility assessments, and gap analyses.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities using Facility Grid and industry best practices.
  • Support project teams from construction through final owner turnover.

Who We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • EIT/FE certification required
  • 18+ months of hands-on commissioning, startup, validation, troubleshooting, or electrical systems experience
  • Experience with mission critical, industrial, pharmaceutical, laboratory, healthcare, or power generation facilities preferred
  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and applicable codes
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with ASHRAE commissioning guidelines
  • BCxA or PECI commissioning experience
  • Facility Grid experience
  • LEED project exposure
  • Electrical testing and startup experience
  • Commissioning documentation and reporting
