 Job Opportunity

Our client is seeking a qualified professional to join our growing Commissioning team. This full-time, onsite position is located at our client site in Manhattan, KS, a vibrant city known for its friendly community and rich cultural history. Basic office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm MT, Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime and 25-50% travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, perform, and oversee detailed field commissioning services, assessments, and studies for various facilities and systems including laboratories, nuclear spaces, hospitals, and clean rooms.
  • Generate commissioning plans, write specifications, develop installation checklists and functional test procedures, verify and validate commissioned systems controls and equipment, document the commissioning process, develop final reports, and create systems manuals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a 2-Year Technical Associates Degree with practical commissioning, controls, or testing experience.
  • Eight years or more experience in commissioning systems such as HVAC, controls, plumbing, laboratory equipment, fire protection, security, and electrical systems.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship required for client projects.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and insurability.
  • Frequent travel to project/client locations, including possible international travel.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in commissioning bio-containment laboratory facilities (BSL3, BSL3Ag, BSL4).
  • Experience in commissioning high-tech, mission-critical facilities.
  • Experience with HVAC controls systems and protocols (e.g., JCI, Siemens, ALC, BACnet, Modbus).
  • Experience with construction administration.
  • LEED/Green Globes/Guiding Principles Compliance.
  • PE, BCxP, CxA, LEED AP certifications.
