Summary:
The Superintendent - Commissioning is a crucial part of the successful completion of a project. This position leads the start-up, commissioning, performance testing, and troubleshooting activities at utility-scale renewable projects.
Requirements:
- Leads and coordinates Commissioning Engineers, Technicians, Vendor Representatives, and Contractors on-site in completing all required commissioning testing for a project.
- Works with Project Manager and Construction Manager to verify all test prerequisites are met before the scheduled testing, ensure all necessary resources are on-site to complete testing as designed, and jointly develop Punch List before systems are turned over to commissioning.
- Observes testing in the field, ensuring all safety and work processes are followed. Answers any questions testing personnel have during the performance of tests.
- Reviews all test result documentation for accuracy, completeness, and passing criteria.
- Leads troubleshooting efforts to determine the cause of failed tests or site underperformance.
- Organizes site turnover and O&M documentation.
- Assists in establishing the project Safety Tagging, Lockout & Work Permit Program and ensuring compliance with its provisions.
- Interfaces with the Owners Operations Department to schedule O&M training.
- Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
- Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures.
- Leads meetings.
- Participates in template and procedure development.
- Trains testing personnel on test equipment usage and standard work instructions.

- Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action. Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.

Qualifications:
Highschool/GED is required.
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or equivalent is preferred.
4+ years of testing and commissioning electrical systems, preferably on utility-scale solar and energy storage projects is required.
Ability to travel 75-100%.
A valid drivers license is required.
Advanced
Underground and overhead distribution testing; transmission systems testing; single and three-phase electrical testing
DC systems architecture and testing
Utility-scale solar power plant design, operation, and testing
HV and MV switching operations
Lockout/Tagout programs and safe practices when working on energized equipment
Intermediate
Relevant codes and standards associated with the testing and design of electrical systems, including NETA, IEEE, NFPA 70E

Anticipated base salary range: $120,000 - $150,000
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
