Job Description

Make a difference in the homes you lead and the people you support.

PKT Enterprises is hiring a Community Residential Services Manager (CRSM) to oversee two group homes serving adults with developmental disabilities and mental health needs.

This role brings together team leadership, care coordination, and hands-on involvement. You’ll build relationships with the individuals in your homes, help staff succeed, and keep daily operations running smoothly. Directors and administrative staff provide training, guidance, and ongoing support.

Whether you’re an experienced supervisor or a direct care professional ready for your next step, we welcome applicants who meet the qualifications and bring strong follow-through, sound judgment, and a commitment to quality care.

Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of two homes, helping maintain safe, comfortable environments that reflect each individual’s needs and preferences.
  • Supervise, train, and coach Direct Support Professionals and applicable Live-In staff, including setting expectations and addressing performance concerns.
  • Maintain staff schedules, arrange coverage, review timecards, and complete payroll-related responsibilities on time.
  • Coordinate medical appointments, follow-up care, individual goals, and team meetings.
  • Ensure service documentation, medication records, incident reports, required audits, and month-end paperwork are accurate and completed on time.
  • Support compliance with Minnesota 245D requirements and company policies.
  • Oversee household supplies, groceries, petty cash, and maintenance follow-up.
  • Help individuals participate in meaningful activities and stay connected to their communities.
  • Communicate with families, guardians, case managers, healthcare providers, and company leadership.
  • Provide hands-on direct care and shift coverage when needed.

Schedule and Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position with a regular Monday–Friday daytime schedule. Managers begin each workday at the office and spend time in their assigned homes for staff support, oversight, and client needs.

Schedule flexibility is required. Staffing needs and urgent situations may require work outside regular hours, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Managers participate in a shared on-call rotation approximately every 6–9 weeks, with leadership support. On-call responsibilities include responding to staff concerns, coordinating coverage, and reporting to a home when necessary.

Required Education and Experience

Applicants must meet one of the following Minnesota Designated Coordinator qualification pathways:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to human services, education, or health, plus one year of qualifying experience.
  • Associate degree in a related human services, education, or health field, plus two years of qualifying experience.
  • Diploma from an accredited postsecondary institution in a related human services, education, or health field, plus three years of qualifying experience.
  • At least 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities, plus four years of full-time direct care experience supporting people with disabilities or adults age 65 or older, under the supervision of someone qualified through one of the first three pathways.

For the first three pathways, qualifying experience includes full-time direct care work with people with disabilities or adults age 65 or older, or equivalent experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.

Additional Requirements and Skills

  • At least 19 years old.
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, reliable vehicle, and insurance in your name.
  • Ability to meet applicable DHS background study requirements.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-through.
  • Comfort coaching staff, managing competing priorities, and responding calmly when plans change.
  • Ability to use email, calendars, and electronic scheduling and documentation systems.
  • Ability to perform required direct care duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Supervisory experience, familiarity with Minnesota 245D requirements, and experience with Therap or UKG are helpful. ASL fluency is a bonus, but is not required.

PKT Enterprises is an organization established in 1994, which is committed to serving the needs of adults with developmental disabilities. PKT Enterprises is actually the name we do business as, and comes from our corporate name, Paraklatos, Incorporated. The word Paraklatos is Greek for “advocate” or “counselor,” implying a “coming along side” role, a position with a responsibility that we believe to be very important.
In viewing ourselves as advocates; we strive to support the dreams, needs, and rights of the individuals we serve, and as counselors; to coach, instruct and encourage each person to achieve their full potential.
We began with one home in St. Paul and have gradually grown to our current number of 11 residential group homes in the St. Paul and Minneapolis area. The type of assistance we provide depends on the needs and desires of the individuals we serve.
We are committed to providing the highest quality of care to all those we serve. We believe that in providing an environment which is safe and fun, the persons we serve have the ability to live, learn and grow while achieving their goals. It is our desire to promote independence, provide opportunities to have meaningful relationships and introduce new experiences. We believe that the best investment that one can make is in the lives of those around us.
Our priority is in our people, both individuals served and staff. Persons served are supported in their living environment, which allows them to be offered and make choices regarding the care and services they receive. Staff are trained and prepared through on-going education, tailored to each person’s individual needs, diagnosis, dreams, and desires. In addition to our company wide high quality staff, we have a select group of staff trained to specifically serve the deaf/hard of hearing population in all departments.
