Job Description

Lead Credit Risk AnalystLead credit risk initiatives for a growing trading business. Partner directly with front-office and senior leadership.Job DescriptionConduct detailed credit assessments of existing and prospective counterparties, including financial statement analysis and risk evaluation. Support business teams by providing credit perspectives on new opportunities, products, and market developments. Monitor counterparty exposures and identify emerging credit concerns or concentration risks. Develop, enhance, and maintain credit risk methodologies, policies, and monitoring tools. Deliver actionable risk insights and recommendations to support informed commercial decision-making. Prepare risk reporting materials and presentations for senior management and governance forums. Assist in the management of risk mitigation solutions, including insurance arrangements and other credit protection structures. Work alongside technology, data, and operations teams to improve risk reporting, analytics, and workflow efficiency. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantBachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. 4+ years of experience in credit risk, counterparty risk, corporate banking, capital markets, trading, or a related financial services environment. Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial statement review, and risk assessment techniques. Experience evaluating institutional, corporate, or trading counterparties. Ability to analyse complex situations and make sound, data-driven recommendations. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence decisions when appropriate. Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. Proficiency with Excel and risk reporting tools; exposure to data analytics platforms is advantageous.What's on OfferCompetitive base salary ranging from $100,000 - $150,000.
