Commodities/Futures Trader - 1936565

Boutique buy side client is seeking a top tier multifaceted Trader primarily focused on trading instruments that span all types of asset classes

The ideal background will include at least 3-5 years of trading experience in IG Corporate Credit, including Structured finance products, municipal credit or high yield corporates. The targeted candidate will possess a strong degree of comfort with complex trading strategies involving single, multiple or cross assets consisting of OTC and/or listed instruments. Candidate should also be experienced users of algorithmic, dark pool and automated trading strategies, tools and platforms.

Responsibilities: 

• Interact with Portfolio Managers on a daily basis to optimize trade execution for a variety of passive and quantitative investment strategies
• Responsible for the execution of daily trades and strategy development for derivatives trading in existing portfolios

Skills You Bring: 

• 3-5 plus years of experience in a similar trading role and a bachelor’s degree preferably (mathematics, economics, finance, computer science)
• Trade execution experience in the instruments mentioned above
• Trade execution experience with Listed instruments, Program Trading and complex orders
• Prior experience with and knowledge of Commodities futures trading preferred
• Understanding of primary drivers of security returns such as duration, delta, beta etc. and its use in trading the particular instrument or security
• Direct, hands-on experience with OMS workflow and front-office operations is expected
• Familiarity with Transaction cost analysis tools and methods
• Ability to thrive in a team based high volume environment
• Strong understanding of buy-side operation; comprehension of compliance responsibilities; proficient with technology such as spreadsheets and data manipulations
