The Commodities PM Engagement team works with portfolio managers with specific focus on portfolio risk and optimization, deliver analytics, and provide actionable insights and best practices that drive business growth and enhance profitability.

The Commodities Quantitative Analyst works alongside investment teams to understand and track fundamentals and trade risk, improve research and investment process, and develop quantitative models for portfolio risk analysis and portfolio construction. This role is key to enhance profitability and scalability across the Commodities business.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with investment teams to analyze fundamentals and trade risk.

Develop and improve quantitative framework for portfolio risk and optimization.

Provide actionable insights to improve research and investment processes.

Communicate findings and recommendations to portfolio managers and Commodities management.

Demonstrate ownership and initiative in generating creative, executable solutions.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience as a quantitative analyst, strategist or risk quant in commodity trading firm, bank, or hedge fund

Experience working with investment teams and communicating complex concepts effectively.

Deep knowledge of at least one commodity sector

Strong quantitative and analytical skills

Strong academic background with a degree in a STEM discipline. Advanced degree preferred.

Proficiency in Python coding

Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across global offices and teams

With respect to NY, CA, and IL based applicants, the starting base pay range for this role is between USD 150000 and USD 215000 annually. The actual base pay is dependent upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, business needs and market demands. This role may also be eligible for bonus compensation and employee benefits.
