In this pivotal role, you will oversee the acquisition of metal commodities such as steel, aluminum, and forgings for various plants located in Cadillac, MI, and Mexico. You will be responsible for fostering robust supplier relationships through effective communication and problem resolution. Your expertise will guide negotiations on pricing, payment terms, and delivery arrangements, all while adhering to corporate standards. A crucial part of your role will be ensuring a seamless flow of materials to meet the production demands at each facility. You will track supplier performance, addressing any deviations from quality, cost, or delivery standards, and spearhead initiatives aimed at cost optimization. Cross-departmental collaboration with Quality, Logistics, Finance, and Projects teams will be key in maintaining efficient operations.
