    HOW YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT

    As a Mechanical Commodity Buyer, you are responsible for your assigned commodity group, including but not limited to, its budget and material availability. You will ensure that your work meets Stadler's quality requirements, including on time performance.

    Key Activities

    • Evaluate and select vendors and suppliers
    • Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers (pricing, delivery terms, contracts)
    • Collaborate inter-departmentally to resolve problems and provide consultation (e.g. • • Engineering and Project Management)
    • Participate in pooling negotiations as assigned
    • Procurement consulting for assigned commodity groups
    • Support Purchasing Manager and Buyers
    • Conduct supplier reviews
    • Coordinate intercompany pooling activities
    • Plan and purchase components within assigned commodity group (mechanical)
    • Support NCR team with claims
    • Collect liquidated damages from vendors
    • Actively manage suppliers

    HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or similar field
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Industrial or Manufacturing purchasing
    • Fluent English required with German a plus
    • Resilient and independent personality
    • Strong organizational skills and efficient working methods
    • Very experienced with Microsoft Office and ERP system (preferable Infor COM)
