The Court of Common Pleas, General Division, is seeking an individual to serve as the Court Administrator. The primary purpose of this position is to responsibly plan, organize, develop, coordinate and direct all aspects of the Court.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Court Administrator must provide general direction and supervision of Court systems operations including case flow, jury and records management, budget, fiscal, personnel with collaboration of HR Director, technology and facilities management across two buildings. Provide supervision and direction to Court personnel with collaboration of HR Director including maintenance, court technology, evidence administrator and administrative office staff. They must represent the Court; serve as a liaison between the Court and the public, media, the Bar Association and other public and private organizations, including criminal justice entities; facilitate meetings as needed or required. Court Administrator will oversee the development of policies and procedures which govern the operations of the Court; ensuring that all aspects of the Court are conducted according to approved policies and procedures. Participate in recruiting, select and hire competent staff; complete performance evaluations as needed. Participation in the planning and implementation of staff training; overseeing orientation of new employees. Plan, schedule and assign work duties and responsibilities; ensure adequate staffing patterns to meet the needs of the Court; schedule staff meetings as needed. Recognize, counsel or discipline personnel as may become necessary; handle employee grievances. Assist the Judges with various Court functions; prepare the agenda and materials for monthly Judges'' meetings. Prepare and administer the Court''s budget; oversee salaries, benefits, accounting procedures and purchases. Facilitate coordination of Court technology resources. Maintain accurate statistical data; monitor, analyze and evaluate statistics; submit reports as required. Oversee preparation of the annual report. Oversee facility maintenance and repair. Attend and participate in workshops and seminars to keep abreast of current trends in Court administration; make recommendations to the Court: plan for and implement change. Prepare and distribute news releases. Monitor staff to assure that established safety regulations are being followed in the use of equipment and supplies. Serve as AED Coordinator for the Court''s Public Access Defibrillation Program; ensure compliance with the policies and procedures established for this program; serve as second alternate for conducting weekly inspection of the Courthouse AED units. There could be other related duties and responsibilities that may become necessary or as directed by the Court.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct responsibility of Maintenance Directors, Evidence Administrator, Court Technology staff, Deputy Court Administrator and Administrative Office staff, with indirect supervisor responsibility of all staff under the direction and supervision of the Deputy Court Administrator.QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a law degree or master's degree in public administration, criminal justice or business; or equivalent education and experience. Must possess a minimum of five (5) years' experience in administration and supervision.
