The Communications & PR Marketing Intern supports our marketing and communications team. This role offers hands-on experience in public relations, corporate communications, and brand storytelling. The intern will assist with media outreach, content development, and internal/external communications efforts while gaining exposure to strategic messaging and reputation management.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in drafting press releases, media pitches, and public-facing communications
Support media outreach efforts, including building and maintaining media lists
Monitor media coverage and compile regular press and sentiment reports
Help develop content for blogs, newsletters, social media, and company announcements
Support internal communications, including employee updates and leadership messaging
Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and media opportunities
Assist in planning and executing PR campaigns, events, and announcements
Ensure brand voice and messaging consistency across all communications
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication channels
Preferred Qualifications
Experience writing for a school publication, blog, or internship
Basic understanding of media relations and PR strategies
Familiarity with media monitoring tools or databases
Experience with content management systems or email marketing platforms
