For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States.

NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, and technical support to the Environmental Protection Agency through the Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program.

Benefits: Paid Health Insurance Premium for positions budgeted at 60+ hours per pay period, Accrued Vacation and Sick Leave, Paid Federal Holidays, and optional Vision and Dental Insurance available for positions budgeted at 35+ hours per pay period.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in Communications related work OR BA/BS Degree

  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS OneDrive, Fax, Copying Machine, Scanner
Duties:

Provide communications, project support, and administrative support to the SRD Immediate Office and branches by researching, drafting, reviewing, coordinating, and preparing work products that support efficient division operations.

  • Communications and outreacho Research, draft, update, and refine Division-wide communications materials including fact sheets, web content, newsletters, slide decks, briefing materials, SOPs, talking points, reports, and reference guides.o Review and edit plain-language communications on SRD deliverables and processes to improve clarity, consistency, and accuracy.o Track action items, milestones, and planning deadlines. Prepare materials that support division-wide communication and outreach.o Assist with developing and updating a Division-wide annual planning calendar.   40%
  • Program and project supporto Review travel intake submissions, coordinate routing of travel-related information, and update tracking records for travel specialist assignments.o Provide support with acquisition planning tasks such as gathering market research and assembling document packages (no obligating authority).o Monitor deliverable status, compile supporting information and reports (no award or decision authority), and assist with quality assurance and quality control checks using established checklists.o Coordinate training registrations and related follow-up actions using standard procedures (no approvals).   40%
  • Administrative and operational supporto Support SRD management and staff with data entry, copying, filing, electronic record keeping, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.o Maintain records and files; scan, index, and archive materials; manage SharePoint sites.o Track and report staff mandatory training status for the Division, generating reminders as needed.o Maintain awareness of program procedures and updates; document work in accordance with records policies.o Enter and validate data; maintain spreadsheets.o Compile routine reports, charts, and dashboards from established sources.o Perform literature searches and summarize findings.o Update contact lists, mailing lists, and inventories.   20%
