Job Description

Supervise the switchboard operators, dispatchers, oversee daily functions; paging, emergency calls, monitor equipment, pager exchanges and on-call schedules. Maintain pager inventory and staffing schedule. Update facility directories annual. Liaison with paging vendor. Additional duties as required.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees daily operations of switchboard operators; dispatchers, paging, emergency calls, monitoring, on-call schedule and patient information
  • Maintain staffing schedule & process payroll
  • Maintain pager inventory & provide pager exchanges.
  • Liaison with paging vendor
  • Establish & enforce work standards & quality improvement goals
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures
  • Evaluate staff's performance & provide feedback
  • Interview candidates for openings and make hiring recommendations.
  • Oversee training of new hires & provide orientation
  • Administer performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
  • Update facility & staff directories annually


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree
  • APCO certified within 1 year of employment.
  • Emergency Number Professionals (ENP) Certification within 1 year of employment.
  • 1 year supervisory and experience in call-center environment.
