Job Title: Communications Coordinator I
Location: Burbank, CA 91522
Pay rate: $30.00 - $32.50/hr
Work schedule: On-site (Monday - Friday), 40 hours per week. No overtime is expected or required for this position.
The Communications Coordinator I provides high-level marketing administrative support by developing and implementing marketing and communications campaigns that align closely with the organization’s brand identity. Reporting directly to the EVP of Worldwide Studios as part of the Strategic Initiatives, Special Events & Studios Community Partnerships (CrewHQ) team, this role operates in a fast-paced, admin-heavy, and highly collaborative environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to interface with multiple stakeholders—ranging from Studio Services to Senior Leadership—while working on impactful projects tied to the Burbank community and the wider film and television industry.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign & Event Support: Assist in implementing marketing and communications campaigns by planning promotional presentations, developing communication strategies, and updating team calendars. Support the hiring manager in coordinating engagement sessions, scheduling meetings, managing promotional events, and handling community outreach.
Administrative & Material Management: Maintain promotional materials by coordinating requirements with the graphics department, tracking stock inventory, placing orders, and verifying delivery receipts. Ensure all promotional materials strictly comply with corporate branding standards.
Data & Research Analysis: Assemble and analyze sales forecasts, prepare marketing and advertising strategies, and conduct targeted research on industry competitors. Collect, analyze, and summarize sales data to compile routine marketing reports.
Process Optimization: Build and set standard operating procedures (SOPs), protocols, and templates in place to drive team proficiency and data organization.
Must Have Skills / Requirements
Initiative & Communication: 1+ years of experience exercising personal initiative and delivering solution-oriented results. Must possess the ability to be persistent and articulate across all forms of communication.
Technical Adaptability: 1+ years of experience learning new and existing software systems quickly (non-technical). Direct experience or functional familiarity with Airtable and CoPilot is required.
Data-Driven & Structured Mindset: Practical experience utilizing Microsoft Excel to analyze data and an ability to author formal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Physical Stamina: Capability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs as required for event setup and inventory management.
Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, exceptional time management, acute attention to detail, multitasking capabilities, and a proven ability to keep business information strictly confidential.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Prior customer service experience, particularly in fast-paced or high-volume environments.
Candidates coming from a background outside of the Media and Entertainment industry are highly preferred.
Education & Experience
Experience: 0–3 years of professional experience in an administrative, marketing, or operational coordination capacity. The team is open to considering former corporate interns who possess the required skill set.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is required.
