Communications ManagerClient Association(s): Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer, SITCPosition Reports To: Associate Director of CommunicationsDirect Reports: N/AEmployee Status: Exempt, Full-time (Minimum of 37.5 hours/week)Role Type/Level: Mid-Level (Non-Supervisory)Client/Department Overview: The Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) is a non-profit medical professional society of influential scientists, academicians, researchers, clinicians, government representatives, and industry leaders from around the world dedicated to improving cancer patient outcomes by advancing the science and application of cancer immunotherapy.Job Overview: The SITC Communications Manager reports to the society's Associate Director of Communications. The Communications Manager implements marketing tactics to properly manage programs within SITC. This includes project-specific marketing plans that implement communication strategies to generate program attendance, educate the public about what SITC does within IO, entice new members, and update the public about upcoming program dates, deadlines, and application periods. This position is responsible for managing programs and marketing tactics, ensuring their success.Position ResponsibilitiesManage the production of promotional materials including, but not limited to, digital and social media advertising efforts (both paid and organic), broadcast emails, website content, direct mail collateral, print ads, video, and other support materials in corresponding marketing plansGenerate, analyze and maintain necessary tracking reports aimed at outcome measurements to monitor success of communication activities, regularly reporting back to respective departmentsMonitor project/program status and progress, working with the Director of Communications and Membership and Associate Director of Communications to adjust plans and tactics accordingly to be responsive to changing needs, ensure accurate messaging, and aid various society departments in meeting their membership/attendance goalsMonitor marketing and promotional activity spend to ensure projects stay within budgetStay updated with new marketing and communications technologies, best practices, and industry trends to identify innovative strategies and solutions that will drive growth in quality lead generation (i.e. new members, meeting attendees, and/or virtual community users)Provide support to the Executive Director and Associate Executive Director as neededOther duties as assignedSkills and QualificationsAbility to work independently and with teams both internally and with volunteer leadersMust have strong writing and organization skills and quantitative analysis abilities with experience developing data driven reportsMust have a good knowledge and understanding of digital and social media marketing tactics and how they can be utilized to further the organization's mission and message.Experience editing video, planning and designing content like fliers, postcards, social media posts and other collateral desired.Education/ExperienceBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a similar field is preferred.Other RequirementsTravel of up to 2 weeks per yearSome evening and weekend work as neededWork EnvironmentThis is a full-time position located in our office in downtown Milwaukee, WI and a minimum of two days onsite in the office (including Wednesday as an all-staff-in-office day) are a requirement of the role.#J-18808-Ljbffr
