Job Specific Duties:
Under broad supervision, this position will assist the Assistant Director in ensuring internal/external brand consistency across the department, maintain a consistent virtual public engagement platform and contribute to major communications and public relations activities within the Office of Strategic Communications. Develop and implement communications and marketing strategies to educate the public about Georgia DOT's programs and projects regardless of phase. Project management directing projects and campaigns for community and public awareness programs and executing a community relations program. Assist in development of presentations (PowerPoint, etc.), general website updates, internal public meeting coordination, internal/external brand consistency and social media campaigns. Collaborate with internal teams to create a consistent virtual public engagement platform and contribute to major communications and public relations activities within the Office of Strategic Communications. Plans and coordinates special events for an assigned agency, department, facility or function. May assist in the management of projects/campaigns and program plans for public outreach websites, social media and community outreach. Develop, monitor and maintain communication materials and presentations for internal and external audiences ensuring adherence to the brand.

High school diploma/GED and three (3) of experience of communications or job-related experience. Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.
