An established financial services organization is seeking a Communications Specialist to support internal communications in Pensacola, FL. This role focuses on creating and delivering clear, engaging messaging across multiple channels to support employee engagement and project objectives.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Setting: Hybrid (at least 3 days a week onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Create, deliver, and measure internal communications that align with project objectives and engage employees
- Develop communication strategies for small- to medium-scale initiatives and organizational priorities
- Draft clear, engaging content across internal channels such as intranet, email, and digital platforms
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to ensure messaging is timely, aligned, and impactful
- Review content for clarity, consistency, compliance with guidelines, and overall quality
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
- Strong writing skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, employee-friendly messaging
- Experience creating and executing communication plans across multiple internal channels
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with the ability to review content for clarity, consistency, and compliance with guidelines
- Foundational understanding of employee engagement and change communications
Desired Skills:
- Experience using internal communication platforms and tools such as SharePoint, AEM, Staffbase, or Asana
- Data-informed mindset with interest in measuring communication effectiveness and using insights to improve outcomes
- Ability to balance structure and creativity while working with increasing independence
