Introduction
Join our dynamic team as a Sr. Communications Specialist, where you will play a critical role in shaping the communication strategies for our retail bank and card services. As a contractor, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance our brand image and manage media relations effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or military experience
- At least 3-5 years of external communications experience
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have previous client experience working for this customer in the past 5 years
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Public relations or communications experience in financial services, technology, or consumer brands
- Experience with media messaging and influencer campaigns
- Ability to evaluate business partnerships and mitigate reputational risk
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of proactive communication and influencer campaigns
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to execute program elements
- Liaise with media on inbound media inquiries and partner with the Escalation & Issues & Crises team as needed
- Create materials such as media messaging, pitches, media lists, briefing books, and social posts for executives
- Provide project management support across the team, including developing workback plans and keeping project trackers
- Assist with the development of measurement and media coverage reports
