Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Organization-wide responsibilities to ensure BJC HealthCare and HSOs are compliant with all state and federal government requirements with respect to community benefit reporting, an important component to retaining non-profit status.Oversees and ensures accuracy of all data collected for BJC and HSOs' annual community benefit reports, as related to information required to be included in Schedule H of Form IRS 990 submissions.Serves in leadership role in tri-annual community health needs assessment process for BJC and HSOs. Implements and oversees ongoing utilization of Community Benefit Inventory for Social Accountability (CBISA) software program. Implements innovative programs to form networks with other hospitals systems and community organizations to help advance community health improvement.

Responsibilities

Works with finance, marketing and communications staffs across BJC to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding community benefit obligations.Provides leadership, training and support to team members across BJC responsible for community benefit reporting.Oversees ongoing review and assessment of community benefit plans and initiatives at BJC and HSO levels.Serves as in-house expert and takes a national leadership role in advocating for community benefit reporting standards.Plans and implements work of the BJC CBISA teams and community benefit task fork by developing agendas, keeping abreast of key issues and projects and providing education and training as needed.
