Community Senior Center Supervisor

JABA is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Community Senior Center Supervisor to lead the daily operations of one of our vibrant senior centers. In this role, you'll create a welcoming, engaging environment where older adults can connect, learn, and thrive.

What You'll Do
Lead Engaging Programs
- Plan, implement, and evaluate creative programs focused on wellness, education, and social connection
- Introduce innovative and intergenerational activities that keep participants engaged
- Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards
Lead & Support Your Team
- Supervise, coach, and mentor staff
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers
- Conduct regular check-ins and performance evaluations
Build Community Connections
- Develop partnerships with local organizations and stakeholders
- Represent JABA at community events and outreach opportunities
- Promote inclusive and welcoming programming
Drive Impact
- Track program participation and outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and complete monthly reporting
- Use data to improve programs and services
Promote & Grow the Center
- Recruit new participants and expand community awareness
- Support outreach efforts, including social media and communications
Manage Daily Operations
- Oversee day-to-day center operations
- Assist with budget tracking and expense management
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who is:
- A strong leader with excellent communication and people skills
- Creative, organized, and adaptable
- Passionate about serving older adults and building community
- Comfortable using technology for communication and program delivery
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred
- Experience in community programs, human services, or supervision strongly preferred
Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Zoom or similar virtual platforms
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Primarily office-based with local travel
- Active role including leading programs and assisting with meal service
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and support individuals with limited mobility
- Combination of desk work and hands-on engagement
