QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field preferred
  • Experience in on or more of the following areas preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Advertise and promote school-based events and activities
  • Meet weekly with the Superintendent and Cabinet to develop and implement an ongoing communications plan using social media and traditional communications tools to inform the public regarding events, activities and issues related to Great Falls Public Schools.
  • Produce and distribute public information and press releases on an as-needed basis.
  • Function as the POC for local media.
  • Assist HR and Cabinet with recruitment and retention events for faculty and staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of time.
  • Walking. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
  • Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
  • Lifting for the purpose of moving equipment and supplies related to events.
  • Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
  • Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
  • The worker is subject to indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, such as weather temperature changes.
  • The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.)

SALARY: $70,000.00

EMPLOYMENT: 5 days/week 8 hours a day

220 days annually

May include evenings and weekends
