The Community Development & Small Business Growth VISTA will build systems that expand economic opportunity, strengthen commercial corridors, and increase access to community resources throughout Northeast DC. The VISTA will develop partnerships, sponsorship opportunities, volunteer programs,outreach systems, entrepreneur resource guides, and community engagement strategies that support DC²'s food access, arts and culture, small business development, and neighborhood revitalization initiatives. The VISTA will help create pathways for entrepreneurs and artists to grow from market participation and pop-up opportunities toward sustainable business ownership and commercial occupancy. Additional responsibilities include developing funding resources, documenting community impact, cultivating partnerships, conducting corridor asset assessments, creating resource materials, and building organizational systems that strengthen long-term program sustainability and community impact.
