Job Summary
Benton County is looking for an on-call and part-time Community Development Technician
This position is part-time with variable hours.
Please note: This is a temporary position not to exceed 1040 hours in a fiscal year.
JOB SUMMARY
The Community Development Technician serves as an initial point of contact for phone calls, emails, and front desk walk-in inquiries by fielding, directing, and responding to technical questions from all land use and building permit customers, including landowners, business owners, developers, builders, community members and applicants. This position ensures efficient and customer-friendly land use review and building permit processes from submittal through reviews to issuance of decisions. In addition, the position may often serve as a liaison between public customers and other state, county, and city departments, including Public Works, Engineering & Survey, Natural Areas Parks & Events, Environmental Health, Benton-Corvallis Economic Development Office, and other agencies.
