Overview:
Responsible for coordinating and implementing community outreach campaigns, workshops, forums, or other events. Coordinates all aspects of event management including planning, staging, logistics, promotions and vendors. Enhances the Sentara brand through reputation building with community leaders, legislators and other key influencers. Identifies key community offerings, opportunities and events where the company should be represented. Identifies entities, populations and segments where we should be associated and develops relationships with those entities. Develops databases of groups that can be used for outreach as these groups would serve as company ambassadors. Serves as a relationship manager with ambassador populations. Assists in identifying opportunities for key memberships, sponsorships and grant giving associated with corporate social responsibility. Assists in the administration of the funding for these opportunities. Represents the company at key events emphasizing those that are healthcare related, corporate social responsibility focused, community oriented and/or demonstrating the healthcare economic impact in communities. Must be willing to travel.

Sentara CarePlex Hospital, located in Hampton, VA, is a 224-bed technologically advanced, acute care facility, and Certified Primary Stroke Center. Other features include specialized services in heart and vascular, urologic care, along with advanced diagnostic and surgical capabilities, a hospitalist program, and one of the state's busiest emergency departments.
