The Community Engagement Coordinator serves as the project coordinator for external events, projects, and programs. The Community Engagement Bureau is responsible for advancing the District Attorney’s public policy agenda through prevention and intervention programs, public-private partnerships, regional task forces, outreach and education, and countywide awareness campaigns. The Bureau collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to improve the health and safety of those who live, work, and go to school in Middlesex County.
Responsibilities:
The coordinator is the project manager for external events, projects, and programs. Specific duties include:
· Acts as a liaison to external organizations
· Screens external speaking requests
· Composes event briefings including drafting talking points
· Does outreach out to community partners and other individuals to orchestrate events
· Manages Opioid Task Force
· Designs and updates PowerPoint presentations for community programs, presentations, and trainings
· Designs fliers, pamphlets, and brochures
· Compiles, maintains, and analyzes program data
· Maintains and updates calendars and external contact lists
· Maintains external e-mail distribution lists and facilitates e-mail blasts to community partners
· Reviews academic and government research to assist with the development and enhancement of community programs
· Proactively identifies articles for inclusion in event packets
· Creates maps, diagrams, and layouts for use as visual aids
· Photocopies and collates packets for community events
· Staffs occasional events in the community
· Grant research and grant writing
· Other tasks as assigned from time to time

Starting Salary: $50,000
Vacation: 2 weeks per year, with the ability to carry over up to two weeks each calendar year
