    The primary focus of this role is the administration of projects and events of the Kenney Center for Community Engagement and Outreach that link Union College students with opportunities in Schenectady and the surrounding area. This work includes the execution of a multifaceted outreach effort to promote community engagement programming and platforms.

    Rate of Pay: $9.70/hr

    Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Recruit Union students to fill roles at local community-based organizations

    • Participate in face-to-face outreach efforts including public speaking, leafleting and tabling in popular campus areas

    • Participate in passive outreach efforts including social media, email outreach, distributing posters, and writing communications

    • Complete general administrative work including: office tasks, research, organizing, event set-up, posting fliers

    • Support large-scale community engagement events including service days, collaborative events with local schools, and various division-wide programs.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be a Union College student who is eligible for work study

    • Must be available to work at least one Common Hour (12:50-1:40pm) each week

    • Must be attentive to detail and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

    • General proficiency in Google Workspace is required

    Location: Schenectady, NY
