We're Hiring: Community Engagement Manager

About the Role
The Community Engagement Manager plays a key role in expanding Eternal Smiles Foundation's reach by building relationships with community partners, increasing awareness of our orthodontic grant program, and supporting families through the application journey. This role bridges outreach and program operations, helping ensure more eligible children are identified, supported, and successfully move through the grant process.
This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position following a hybrid work model, including remote work, in-office collaboration, and community outreach throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Occasional evening and weekend hours will be required to support events and organizational needs. Approved business mileage may be reimbursed in accordance with Eternal Smiles Foundation policy.
What You'll Do
Community Engagement & Outreach
• Build and maintain relationships with schools, nonprofits, churches, and community organizations serving single-parent families
• Represent Eternal Smiles Foundation in meetings, presentations, and community events
• Identify new outreach channels to increase qualified applications
• Support inclusion in referral networks such as 211 and similar platforms
Partnership Development
• Develop and manage relationships with orthodontic and dental partners
• Support onboarding of Aligned Providers and maintain ongoing communication
• Serve as a point of contact for partners referring families into the program
• Track and nurture partnership activity to ensure ongoing engagement
Fundraising Support
• Assist with donor engagement activities, including stewardship touchpoints and follow-ups
• Support small campaigns, events, and community-based fundraising efforts
• Help identify potential individual and local business supporters through community relationships
Program & Case Support
• Support applicant communication throughout the pre-screen and application process
• Assist families in understanding requirements and completing applications
• Coordinate basic case tracking and follow-ups (e.g., provider selection, missing documentation)
• Support 6-month check-in tracking with providers and families
Administrative & Operational Support
• Maintain accurate records in Eternal Smiles Foundation systems (applications, partners, outreach tracking)
• Assist with reporting on outreach effectiveness and application conversion
• Collaborate with the Executive Director to refine outreach and engagement strategy
What We're Looking For
• Strong relationship-builder with a heart for mission-driven work
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple moving pieces
• Comfortable working across outreach, partnerships, and light operations
• Experience in nonprofit, community engagement, education, or healthcare settings is a plus
