Help Build the Future of Girl Scouting in Southern Illinois!Are you passionate about empowering girls, building community connections, and supporting volunteers? Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois is seeking a Community Engagement Manager to recruit and engage new girl and adult members, strengthen community partnerships, and help ensure that every girl has the opportunity to experience the benefits of Girl Scouting.This position serves as the primary connection between Girl Scout families, volunteers, schools, and community partners while supporting membership growth throughout the assigned service area.Salary Range: $38,000 to $40,000 annuallyAssigned Territory: O'Fallon, Shiloh, Fairview Heights, Lebanon, Mascoutah, Scott Air Force Base, New Athens, Marissa, St. Libory, and FreeburgThis hybrid position combines remote work with regular in-person meetings, community outreach, events, and volunteer support throughout the assigned territory. Occasional travel to council offices, trainings, and special events is required.BenefitsEligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that may include:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife and disability insuranceRetirement plan participationPaid time off (vacation, sick leave, and holidays)Employee assistance programProfessional development opportunitiesMileage reimbursement for approved business travelEssential ResponsibilitiesRecruit and retain girl and adult members through community outreach, relationship building, and recruitment events.Develop and maintain partnerships with schools, churches, businesses, and community organizations.Train, onboard, mentor, and support volunteers to ensure a positive and successful Girl Scout experience.Serve as the primary liaison between volunteers, families, community partners, and Girl Scout staff.Promote Girl Scout programs, camps, leadership opportunities, training events, awards, and volunteer engagement opportunities.Assess community needs and implement strategies to increase membership and participation.Represent Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois at community events and networking opportunities.Maintain accurate records and reports related to membership growth and volunteer engagement.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of two (2) years of experience in volunteer management, community engagement, youth development, membership recruitment, nonprofit work, or a related field.Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities.Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.Work Environment and ScheduleThis position requires:A flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.Frequent local travel throughout the assigned territory.The ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.Acceptance of the Girl Scout Promise and Law and membership in Girl Scouts of the USA.Why Join Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois?At Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois, we believe every girl deserves the opportunity to discover her strengths, build confidence, and make a positive impact in her community.
