Overview

Framed within the mission, vision, and community relations plan of Blank Children's Hospital, the Outreach Coordinator, Community Services is responsible for coordination, reporting and/or support of educational programs focused on pediatric health, safety and well-being. This person serves as a representative for Blank Children's Hospital in the community and region. The successful completion of responsibilities contributes towards the implementation of programs to improve the overall health and well-being of children.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Statewide Program to ensure continuity of grant-funded operations.
  • Assist Coordinators with statewide CPS activities, including conventional and adaptive (Special Needs) car seat programs.
  • Provide support to Child Passenger Safety Technicians and assist with program administration.
  • Perform day-to-day operational tasks to support statewide CPS initiatives.
  • Accurately collect, track, and enter program data.
  • Clean, assemble, inspect, and maintain child passenger safety seats.
  • Support the State CPS Special Needs Loaner Program by preparing equipment for use.
  • Track and manage inventory of child passenger safety equipment.
  • Coordinate the distribution and return of loaner equipment.
  • Help ensure car seats and equipment are ready to meet community needs.

Qualifications

Education: HS diploma or equivalent required
