Community & Events Coordinator

Swamp Dawg Restaurant Management Group is seeking a high-energy, creative, hospitality-driven Community & Events Coordinator to help grow guest engagement, increase traffic, support operations, and create memorable experiences across all SDRMG brands, including:
Mellow Mushroom,
Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar,
Eggs Up Grill,
Mooyah,
and The Remedy Dog Bar.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hospitality, enjoys working directly with people, understands restaurant operations, and can help create energy both online and in-store. This is not strictly an event-planning position - this role requires someone who is hands-on, adaptable, operationally aware, and capable of supporting stores during both high-volume events and day-to-day business needs.

The Community & Events Coordinator will play a key role in helping our restaurants become destinations within the community through events, partnerships, promotions, guest engagement, and operational support.

SCHEDULE

  • Wednesday through Sunday required
  • Mondays and Tuesdays off
  • Nights, weekends, and holidays required based on events and business demands
  • Flexible schedule based on operational and event needs

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and execute weekly events across all restaurant brands
  • Attend and oversee events to ensure strong execution, hospitality standards, guest interaction, and overall experience
  • Help drive traffic and increase sales during slower periods through promotions, partnerships, and community outreach
  • Coordinate live music, vendor events, charity nights, trivia, themed events, brunch activations, dog events, and promotional campaigns
  • Assist with social media content creation during events, including photos, videos, live coverage, and behind-the-scenes content
  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, vendors, rescues, schools, influencers, nonprofits, and community organizations
  • Assist with marketing rollouts, in-store promotions, sponsorships, catering outreach, and grassroots marketing efforts
  • Coordinate event calendars, promotional schedules, and communication between stores and leadership teams
  • Assist with event setup, breakdown, organization, and guest flow during major activations
  • Support operational needs across stores during slower event periods, including guest engagement, floor support, hospitality assistance, promotional execution, and team support
  • Assist management teams with maintaining brand standards and overall guest experience during events and peak business periods
  • Act as a brand ambassador for SDRMG both inside and outside of the restaurants
  • Help identify opportunities for community growth, partnerships, and local engagement
  • Support guest recovery and guest interaction efforts during events and community activations
  • Collaborate with ownership and operations teams to create fresh, sales-driving ideas and experiences across all brands

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hospitality and/or restaurant experience strongly preferred
  • Event coordination, marketing, or community outreach experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced hospitality environments
  • Ability to multitask and adapt quickly between brands, events, and operational needs
  • Outgoing, dependable, self-motivated, and proactive
  • Social media knowledge and content creation experience is a plus
  • Must be comfortable working nights, weekends, and physically active shifts
  • Must be capable of assisting operationally when needed
  • Reliable transportation required

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are not simply looking for someone to “plan events.” We are looking for someone who can help create energy, drive traffic, build community relationships, support operations, and create experiences that keep guests coming back.

The ideal candidate is creative, hands-on, adaptable, hospitality-focused, and excited to be physically involved in growing brands, supporting teams, and helping create memorable guest experiences both inside and outside the restaurants.
