Community Health Outreach and Recovery Support Member
The AmeriCorps Member''s charge is to build organizational capacity by strengthening community outreach efforts, increasing access to health education and preventive health resources, and improving connections between underserved community members and available health and social support services. Increasing organizational capacity to address barriers to care is critical to the sustainability of Pamela Parker Community Outreach Clinic and WAFCC. The AmeriCorps Member will support efforts to expand community awareness of available services, improve participant engagement, and strengthen resource navigation systems that help individuals access needed care and support. Member Duties : Provide health education, wellness promotion, and community outreach that encourages engagement in preventive health services and healthy behaviors. Assist community members in identifying needs and connecting with resources such as food assistance, transportation, housing supports, and recovery services. Support outreach efforts that increase awareness and utilization of available health, wellness, and recovery resources. Provide community education related to substance use disorder prevention, recovery supports, and stigma reduction. Assist participants in accessing and navigating available health and community resources. Develop and distribute outreach materials, resource guides, and educational content that promote available services. Collect and organize service-related information to support program evaluation and outreach improvement. Assist with volunteer engagement and community partnerships that expand the clinic''s reach.
