We are looking to increase our community involvement and have a part-time Community Liaison position responsible for community engagement and promoting company services.  

Position Summary

The Marketing & Community Liaison is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with healthcare providers, referral sources, community organizations, and local businesses to increase referrals and promote the agency's services. This position represents the agency within the community, coordinates marketing initiatives, participates in community outreach activities, and educates referral sources about the services offered.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing & Business Development

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase community awareness and referrals.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with physicians, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, case managers, social workers, discharge planners, and other referral sources.
  • Conduct routine visits to referral sources to educate them on agency services and programs.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and new referral partnerships.
  • Monitor referral trends and recommend strategies to improve market presence.
  • Attend networking events, health fairs, chamber of commerce meetings, and community events.
  • Represent the agency in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  • Prepare and distribute marketing materials and educational resources.

Community Relations

  • Build strong relationships with community organizations, senior centers, veterans' groups, churches, and civic organizations.
  • Coordinate educational presentations for community groups and healthcare professionals.
  • Serve as the agency's ambassador within the community.
  • Develop partnerships that enhance the agency's visibility and reputation.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating community outreach programs.

Referral Management

  • Respond promptly to referral inquiries.
  • Work closely with intake and clinical staff to ensure smooth referral coordination.
  • Follow up with referral sources regarding patient admissions and outcomes as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of marketing activities, referrals, and contacts within the agency's CRM or tracking system.
  • Track referral metrics and prepare monthly marketing reports.

Customer Service

  • Maintain excellent relationships with current and prospective referral sources.
  • Address questions and concerns from referral partners in a timely manner.
  • Promote exceptional customer service to patients, families, and community partners.
  • Ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Compliance

  • Conduct all marketing activities in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and applicable payer guidelines.
  • Follow agency policies regarding ethics, compliance, and patient privacy.
  • Ensure all promotional activities comply with healthcare marketing regulations.

Qualifications

  • An associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of two years of marketing, sales, or business development experience, preferably in healthcare, home health, home care, hospice, or senior services.
  • Knowledge of healthcare referral processes preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.
