The Glen Retirement System is seeking a Community Life Coordinator to help create moments of joy, purpose, and connection for the residents we serve.

Full-Time | Non-Exempt | Benefits Eligible

Schedule
  • Normally 40 hours per week
  • Standard shift: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Some evenings, weekends, and holidays required
  • Schedule may vary based on community needs
 
What You’ll Do
As a Community Life Coordinator, you will assist with implementing engaging programs and activities that support the social, spiritual, emotional, physical, intellectual, and vocational well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate scheduled group and individual activities
  • Support community events, outings, and special service projects
  • Encourage resident participation and build meaningful relationships
  • Assist with hosting entertainment and special guests
  • Decorate and maintain inviting activity spaces
  • Distribute calendars and maintain attendance records
  • Assist with volunteer coordination and event documentation
  • Help transport residents to appointments and outings as needed
This is a hands-on, high-energy role perfect for someone who enjoys staying active and interacting throughout the day.

What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma required
  • Experience working with seniors preferred
  • Compassionate, enthusiastic, and flexible personality
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a Chauffeur’s License
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 90 pounds
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in a high-energy, high-traffic environment
