A well-established property management firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Community Manager to oversee operations at a mid-sized affordable housing community in Silver Spring, MD. This is a high-impact leadership role for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands affordable housing compliance, and is passionate about driving performance, team engagement, and resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and overall community performance
- Ensure compliance with HUD, Project-Based Section 8, and LIHTC (Tax Credit) regulations
- Manage budgets, financial reporting, and occupancy/delinquency goals
- Lead, train, and develop on-site team members
- Drive leasing and marketing strategies
- Maintain property standards and oversee maintenance operations
- Deliver excellent customer service and manage resident relations
Requirements:
- 3–5+ years of property management experience
- 3–5+ years in affordable housing (HUD/Project-Based Section 8 required)
- LIHTC (Tax Credit) experience required
- Strong compliance background
- Proven leadership and financial management skills
- Proficiency in Yardi, Excel, and Microsoft Office
- Bilingual (preferred)
