We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Community Manager to lead operations at Brookland Manor Apartments, a 465-unit affordable housing community in Washington, DC. This is a high-impact leadership role for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the complexities of affordable housing compliance, and is passionate about driving performance, team engagement, and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations and overall community performance
  • Ensure compliance with HUD and Project-Based Section 8 regulations
  • Manage budgets, financial reporting, and occupancy/delinquency goals
  • Lead, train, and develop on-site team members
  • Drive leasing and marketing strategies
  • Maintain property standards and oversee maintenance operations
  • Deliver excellent customer service and manage resident relations

Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of property management experience
  • 3–5+ years in affordable housing (HUD/Project-Based Section 8 required)
  • Strong compliance background
  • DC Property Manager License required
  • Proven leadership and financial management skills
  • Proficiency in Yardi, Excel, and Microsoft Office
